We take the validity of data published on Estimize very seriously, which is why we implement several different algorithms which determine whether an estimate is reliable or not. All estimates which do not make it through the automatic screening process are not counted towards the Estimize consensus, and are reviewed before the market close on that day to determine if they are in fact reliable.
Of all the data that has been published on the platform to do, under 3% has been marked as unreliable by our algorithms and less than .5% of all estimates have ultimately been deemed unreliable and excluded. The majority of estimates that have been determined unreliable come from first time contributors testing the platform.
